Growth scans

at 32+6 my baby was 83.5th percentile weight around 4lb 13 however the charts go off your original weight and height so can’t really compare to others x

I’m 34+3 days and my baby is only just 4lb 3oz , I wasn’t told what percentile he was just that he was slightly below average ☺️ Everyone’s baby will measure different as it’s based off your bmi aswell as babies growth that’s what my midwife told me as I panicked having such a small baby at 34 weeks🫶🏼 xxx

Mines 5lbs 2oz at 33+3 on the 55 centile x

At 32+2 my little girl was 3lb9oz on the 1st centile, got my next growth scan on Monday at 34+2 xx

I take them with a pinch of salt to be honest. My first baby measured 10th percentile and was born on the 91st at 9lbs 3oz and this baby is measuring 98th percentile so we’ll see! I think I just make big babies but according to the scan he was around 5lbs 3oz at 32 weeks but as I say, it’s not always entirely accurate x

@Louise I always thought scans tend to overestimate weight! How many weeks were you when they estimated your baby on the 10th centile? My first was 9lb 10oz at 41 weeks, so I’ve been assuming this one will be a similar size. I had a growth scan yesterday at 32+2 and they estimated him at 4lb 1.6oz, which is slightly below average. I’m not sure what to make of it, really. I still have a feeling he’ll be on the bigger side eventually, even if he’s measuring a bit smaller for now.

@Nora honestly I have trust issues with growth scans now 😅 she was between 33-34 weeks when they told me she was measuring along the 10th percentile but she was born 41+2 on 91st. So the scan was either wildly wrong or she had one hell of a growth spurt at the end! My latest scan for this pregnancy at 33+5 my son is measuring >99th at 6lbs 11oz so he’s on track to be bigger if the scan is to be trusted but who knows!! X
