Constipation help!

My ten month old really suffers from constipation. I try prunes, pears, water, lactulose! He’s been passing dark pebbles now for a week. I’m at a loss what more I can do to help. He’s now refusing food and teething 🙃 help a mumma out!

Hi mumma, when my little boy didn't do his #2 for a while, what used to help me in this situation was giving him oats. This really used to help, hope it helps you too!

Steamed broccoli!!! My oldest got constipated a lot especially when eating bananas and broccoli always did the trick. We also always gave her a balanced diet so she didn’t get constipated. If we gave her something like bread, pasta, cheese we’d also give her something like broccoli, carrots, peas to counteract the constipation.

Him refusing food could also be because he’s teething. My daughter refused all food for a couple days and had a slight fever when her molars were coming in.

Thank you for all the advice! I’ve tried all of these 🙃 think it may be a trip to the gp to up his laxatives! Poor little man x

My little girl has had troubles with her bowels since birth and they prescribed her lactulose however when we started weaning her a few months back it’s caused havoc and she was just screaming in pain trying to pass little tiny poops so I took her back to the GP and they have now prescribed her infant Movicol too and she’s soooooo much better so might be work having a word with your GP and see what other options are out there for you. Hope you get it sorted x

Maybe a trip to the doctors to get a specialist to check out the baby’s stomach 😩
