Provider disappointment

I just had my 12 week apt. And all went super well! I’m just so disappointed with meeting a new provider today who continued to cut me off when SHE asked me questions. She also was super confused on my history which made me feel horrible and then we felt she was pushing us out and had somewhere better to be. Is it ok to call the office and ask that I never be scheduled with her again? Any thoughts or has someone been though a similar experiences?

Absolutely! I’ve definitely changed providers due to bedside manner

yikes. yes. that’s totally OK. in fact, you shouldn’t have to feel any certain type of negative way when you’re going to see a provider. in my experience, most places have several providers and it’s good to know all of them before deciding on one, if you’re able to. i’m a c section so i’ll always know the doctor on staff but that’s not always the case obviously. perhaps an honest conversation with that provider wouldn’t be a bad idea before your delivery in the event they’re the ones staffed if you choose to stay with them.

At my Dr office they have lots of midwives and they want you to see them all just in case your preferred isn't on call when you go into labor but I had one I did not like so now I will only see 3 of them.

I moved providers my first pregnancy at 13 weeks because I literally felt like a cow in a cattle herd. The doctor literally gave me medication that caused heart arrhythmia when mixed with a medication I was already taking. Then she had the audacity to try re-give it to me at my next appointment. I noped my way out of there. If you have a bad feeling switch because when you're giving birth you are most vulnerable and you don't want to be with a doctor or hospital that you don't absolutely trust
