Nexplanon Implant & irregular bleeding
I’ve had the nexplanon implant twice before having my baby and it worked so well for me and I very rarely had any bleeding.
3months post partum I had the implant put back in however I’m having a totally different experience with it this time around!! Irregular bleeding, sometimes more painful and heavy bleeding, sometimes just spotting on and off but it’s been going on for a month now. I have seen my dr who gave me 3 months worth of the pill to take to try regulate the bleeding.
I’m in 2 minds whether to try ride it out without taking the pill but equally I’m so fed up!! My worry is what will happen after the 3 months of the pill, will the irregular bleeding return?!
Any advice from others who have taken the pill alongside having the implant would be really appreciated!! 🫶🏼

I had a different experience with it every time I had it. With my third one the bleeding was almost constant
I had the same experience my 3rd time on it and had the pill for three months and after the pill the irregular bleeding stopped
@Abby did it take the full 3 months of taking the pill for the bleeding to stop? Or did it stop when you started the pill? I’ve been taking it for a week and nothing has changed 😩😭 starting to get fed up now

Had the exact same experience when I had the implant and then refreshed it (without a pregnancy in between). Ended up taking it out and getting the mirena which worked like a dream for me
