My LO is nearly seven months and has a bit of prune puree in his porridge every morning to help keep things regular as we were struggling with him getting bunged up x
Prune and pear are good for helping them poop. If it gets to 4 days, they should be seen by a doctor, and they'll prescribe something. Also, lay them on their back and do bicycle legs, it helps them fart and poop
Chia seed pudding helped my baby poop when prunes didn’t help. 1 table spoon chia seed and 1/2 oz formula or breastmilk. Put the chia seeds first then the milk and stir with a spoon
Okay thank you girls I appreciate it x
If nothing helps it means the poop is very hard. You can put Vaseline jelly on a rectal thermometer and rotate it 15-30 secs and the poop will come out. Don’t try with a q tip because it the cotton can get stuck in there
Add chia seeds and/or flaxseeds in your baby’s food regularly
My baby started solids at 6 months and at 8 months she stopped getting constipated
I recommend any pouch with prunes in x
Is your baby sitting and showing all signs of readiness? What type of foods are you giving her? I’d avoid dairy completely and grains. So no rice, oatmeal, etc. Just veggies and fruits. Offer water with every meal. Use pedialax if you have to For some relief but cut down on the foods she’s getting and figure out what it is that’s causing the constipation.
I started by mixing every food with breast milk if you don’t use it then I will suggest gas drops and tummy time usually help release it
