My 13 day old hasn’t pooped since early hours Wednesday. Anything I can do to help her go to the toilet please. She was born 37+ 6. I don’t know if that makes a difference. Thanks
are you breast feeding or formula feeding? if you were breastfeeding, have you recently introduced formula to combi feed or are you exclusively breast feeding? if so, then according to nhs it is common for your baby to get constipated when going onto formula as it’s slightly harder to digest, so babies body has to get used to it. but if that doesn’t relate to you, then it says you should talk to your midwife, health visitor or gp if your baby under 8 weeks has gone 2 or 3 days without pooping (according to nhs website). so i say talk to midwife or health visitor and see what they say. you can try things to ease their tummy, like a warm bath to relax their muscle, tummy massage, bicycle legs etc xx
