Exclusively BF baby refusing formula

Hi guys My baby is classed as failure to thrive so I’ve decided to try giving him a couple of bottles of formula a day to see if that helps, but he just will not drink it! We’ve been using kendamil. He takes pumped milk from the bottle without issue but when it’s formula he just lets it run out of his mouth, spits it out and turns his head away. I don’t know what to do!!

Second the mixing. Just weaned my little man off the boob. He's 9 months EBF. Took a couple days but he's now on formula. I started with 150ml breast milk and topped up with 30ml formula. Second day 120ml with 60ml. Day 3 I went all in and gave him 100% formula and he took it fine although screwing up his face 🤣

We had to try a few different brands before our little girl would take a bottle of formula. Kendamil can be quite rich to some baby’s so maybe try something else

Can you keep pumping/ hand expressing and give a bottle? Don’t push formula… Also, best tip is to always hand express for 30 seconds before and after a feed for the letdown. It does make a difference. If in doubt, book a quick consultation with genuinely the best and most knowledgeable consultant, Amanda Marks. Links below. She’s worked with thousands of mums and babies, including myself. We also did Amanda’s programme for food & sleep at 6 months. Your little one is probably getting ready for his weaning journey, babies are clever and know what they want. 🙏🏼 You’re doing so well. You’ve got this mama! ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/throughtheeyesofaparent?igsh=MWgxbGg2bWtrbGloMg==
