I took it with paracetamol and ibuprofen, I had it in the hospital after my section. Stopped taking once I was home as it was sending me a little loopy

@Kimberley i was at the hospital for 5 days and they never gave me it until i got home? I didn’t know how or what to take it with since they never even mention to me that they’d be prescribing it 😂

@Kimberley when did you feel like you didn’t need to take painkillers anymore ?

That's so bad of them! What were they given you in the hospital? I was also in for 5 days and had it every day. I'm just over 5 weeks post section and I still take paracetamol every now and then, I've had lots of issues with it opening up and when I do too much the incision site hurts. Honestly take them for as long as you need theres no right or wrong time frame x

@Kimberley they gave me paracetamol and ibuprofen every 6 hours. Omg no way ! What causes the incision to open up? Tbh I feel like I was sent home with no info about anything.

While in hospital after my first section, I took it either on its own or with paracetamol, it just depending on timings since my last lot of meds. I’ve just had my second section and just taking paracetamol and ibuprofen at two hour intervals now. If I also needed the dihydrocodeine, I’d be taking it at the same time as my paracetamol 😊

I found dihydrocodeine would make me sleepy so I stopped after a few days but I’d take it with paracetamol, they gave it to me in hospital during labour and when I went home after my section. X
