What’s the obsession with youth? I mean I get it…. But why do we fight the aging process so hard 😩
We’re all gonna get old and die one day so why does something that happens so naturally, outside of our control, feel so bad. Like?

I want to age gracefully lol
Biology. We are biologically wired to try to procreate and pass on our genes and women have a biological window in which they can do that. Men are wired unconsciously to be attracted to women of child bearing age.
Survival instinct I assume. Even bugs try to avoid death instinctually
I think society expects us to look young no matter our age. I don’t really care if I look young or old. However I was blessed with my mom’s good genes. She aged gracefully and I have my mom’s face. But I do see my aunts spending a ridiculous amount of money on creams and stuff to make themselves not look older. Even though they all look amazing.

I think people just chase their youth. I don’t mind aging so I can’t fully say why. Although the two extra long gray eye brow hairs is a bit of inconvenience 😂
