Beach/ Swimming Pools

Normally I wash my daughter's hair once a week. We're going on vacation in a couple days to the beach and we'll also be at the pool a lot. With her hair getting wet everyday at the pool and possibly ocean, should I be washing it each night with shampoo?

Theres a few things you can do: 1. Get a swim cap if you think she's going to be in the water everyday just to reduce the amount you'd be shampooing her hair because everyday is a lot for you and for her. 2. If no swimming cap - you should always shampoo and condition after being around saltwater or chlorine as they damage and dry out the hair (You could use a clarifying shampoo specifically to remove any buildup of chlorine and the other nasties in pool water) 3. (I've never tried this) supposedly if you cover the hair in leave in conditioner or hair oil, it should create a barrier minimising the absorption of chlorine or saltwater... Idk how reliable that is tho Hope this helps! 🙏

Rinse her hair daily and add a leave in conditioner. Not too much bc it will run into her eyes the next day in the pool. Even if you use a swim cap, still rinse when done with water.

If I was going to take my curly haired girl swimming everyday I’d use a co wash so you’re not shampooing everyday yano?keeps curls moisturised and clean without being stripped

@Jade Do you have a leave in conditioner you'd recommend?
