Play mat recommendations ?

Does anyone have any “affordable but good” play mat or area rug recommendations? Little guy is crawling already and falling while trying to do more . We have hard vinyl floors and I just want something to soften the fall a bit. I suuuuuper want a Totter & Tumble mat but dad says it too expensive. Baby currently has two yoga mats next to each other (and I hate it).
