Aptamil

Anyone else’s baby unwell on aptamil? He’s showing some symptoms of CMPA, but not too severe. But I’ve seen a lot of things about people’s babies not agreeing with aptamil. So I don’t know whether to change formula. Drs appointment tomorrow anyway so will enquire then about symptoms, but just wondered if anyone had smiling experience with aptamil?

My LO had terrible reflux on Aptamil. Had to change it and glad I did. When I spoke to GP and HV about it they were no help about it and tried to tell me just to stick to the Aptamil and I regret listening to them and not changing it sooner.

I started on C&G but my LO kept throwing up, then tried normal Aptamil and still throwing up now he’s on Aptamil Anti Reflux but still has some spit ups and loads of loose stools but my first was also on Anti Reflux and she was fine so it makes me think is it the formula or is it some sort of allergy x

Aptamil Pepti 1 if thats the one you’re using still has cows milk in it. It’s hydrolysed to make it easier for babies to digest, however, some babies need a amino acid based formula instead of a hydrolysed x

He’s just on normal aptamil atm. I’m going to bring up CMPA to the drs tomorrow and see what they say. They did give him gaviscon at one point but that’s not worked. But I might try and different formula. Maybe hipp or c&g. But he’s defo got symptoms of CMPA.
