Double pram questions

Currently 7+3 weeks with my second. My little boy will be just over 2 when baby is due. I’m so unsure what to do about the pram situation. I really don’t want anything huge and chunky. I’ve debated with a buggy board and the pram I had for my son but I’m worried what I will do if we’re out and he gets tired. Also thought about getting a second yo-yo pram and connecting them… but they feel so flimsy. Any ideas please? 🙏🏽😊

We have about 2½yrs between our first two, and will be about the same with 2 and 3. We have a bugaboo donkey which I love because of the flexibility of having it in either double or single mode. We often just use it as a single with buggy board which works well, but there are definitely times where I've been very glad to have both seats, especially when I'm out on my own with both kids and I know that oldest is strapped in and can't wander off/run away. Probably depends on the child but even at 4yo I still used the second seat from time to time. I think if you have a single pram where the seat is suitable for newborns (ie lies completely flat) then you could swap toddler into the seat if needed and put baby into a sling/carrier. Or you could just have baby in the carrier all the time, although I'd personally want to know I at least had somewhere to put baby down for 5 minutes whilst you go to the toilet or change toddler's nappy or whatever. If you get a buggy board I'd get one with a little seat on it

Following! My son will be 3 when baby is here (they could even potentially have the same birthday haha) I know my son probably won't need a buggy by then but often than not I'm solo parenting and having to use public transport so having a space where he could sit and be safe sounds like something we will need. Im going to look more into during the summer when I can kinda gage what his needs would be.

My daughter will be around 19 months and il definitely be upgrading to a double haven’t decided yet what I want but I’m looking to get one that can be a single and a double incase I don’t need the two

@Katie the carrier idea is a great idea I hadn’t thought of that. I love the bugaboo donkey but don’t want to spend fortunes on a new pram. This is why I think another yoyo might be the best idea. Can connect them up when I have both kids and just use a single one when my little boy is at nursery

@Bethany this is my thoughts exactly. I just don’t want anything huge and bulky all the time

I think it depends on when you will have them both at the same time and what you plan to do. My boy will be 2.5 years and we aren’t planning on getting a double pram, just a buggy board with seat. We have been taking him out on walks and building his stamina up. He can probably be out for an hour on his feet then gets really tired. He now way prefers to go out for a walk without the pram. I know I will want to do longer walks with baby and pram but will do these when I don’t have toddler as well. I always kept baby carrier in the bottom of the pram anyway when toddler was little so will do that this time too
