Do you ever have poo on your butt hours later even after you know you wiped??

I'm very embarrassed about this and wouldn't be posting this even incog if I wasn't actually kind of concerned about it... To preface this, when I use the bathroom I wipe with toilet paper until the paper comes clean, and then I also use a wet wipe as extra precaution to make sure I'm very clean. But I've been noticing that anywhere from 30min to hours later when I go to pee, I can feel my butt is itchy so I wipe it and there's poo there... I don't understand why this is happening. I make sure I'm clean when I leave the bathroom, I know I'm not pooping in my pants. Does anyone have this issue? Is this a normal thing people don't talk about? Or is this maybe concern for something?

Do you have hemorrhoids?

There’s a reason we wash our rear ends with water every time we go to the toilet, use plenty of water to wash as wipes & toilet paper alone do nothing🚿

Go to the doctors, sounds like some sort of incontinence x

Wash wash wash with water!!! Will help toilet paper is no good on its own and wipes don’t solve the problem either 🚿

Use wet wipes after you poo. Or get a spray bottle to wash that area after pooping. And see a doctor.

Same issue. I have hemorrhoids though

Never trust a fart

This happens to a lot of people after birth, even if you had a c section! .talk to your doctor about it, they can give you better tips or medicine that can help

Atp, get in the shower after you poop if you have the time 😭 another tip is when you wipe, push so your butthole opens up and you can clean what you missed.

Pelvic floor exercises. Even if you had a c-section, carrying a child for 9 months can "weaken" your pelvic floor muscles. So even if you clean with water you may find this issue recurring. Speak to your doc and they'll let you know whether it's hemorrhoids like others have mentioned, or that you need to do pelvic floor exercises.

Use baby lotion on some tissue to wipe yourself

If this is a new issue then I would see your GP for advice tbh. It’s all well and good being told to wash with water but clearly you were doing a thorough job previously which means something has changed. Yes, washing with water may help you but it may just mask whatever the issue causing it actually is.

Sounds like haemorrhoids

I have hemorrhoids, so sometimes this is common.

You could try using a peribottle to clean after using the toilet.

I second a bidet or even water bottle wash before toilet paper so ensure you are clean. Also passing gas causes small amounts of poo to come out sometimes too. This causes an irritation and itchiness sometimes as well as a smell.

@Rachel I don't have hemorroids

You may not be emptying your bowels all the way.

You not wiping good enough chile…

Bidet and wet wipes

It could be hemorrhoids or a pelvic floor issue! I would speak with your provider about it.

Maybe after having the baby you have leaky butt

Another vote for bidet

Never be embarrassed to observe or advocate for yourself. It's taken me 19 years to get properly diagnosed for my prolapse because every doctor dismissed it as hemorrhoids until I actually got them from pregnancy and it was obvious that there was a severely clear difference. I use soap and water and isopropyl alcohol every time I go no matter where I am, it's just how I raised. I would never consider wiping to be clean nor very clean. I have a partial rectal prolapse and, more recently, diverticulosis, which are both permanent, so my doctors {I have a colorectal surgeon and gastroenterologist} recommend doing exactly what I've been doing my entire life anyway. You could easily have something else going on like hemorrhoids or even a weak pelvic floor, which I was recently diagnosed with after all of the trauma that my body had been through in the last two years. My gastroenterologist prescribed physical therapy for that to prevent any colorectal incontinence.
