@Lisa Marie ohh okay thats nice at the end your outcome worked in your favourđđ˝đđ˝lovely to hear. Iâm worried now that i have GD i may not give birth naturally
Heyyy, I had gestational diabetes and had metformin as my fasting levels werenât always good. I was induced at 38 weeks and was so close to giving birth naturally. I was 10cm dilated and pushing until they realised I had an infection and the baby wasnât coming down fast enough and it became dangerous. Ended up having a c section, just thankful everything worked out and me and baby boy are safe and sound. My birth plan changed since they told me I had GD and had to give birth in the labour ward as it was dangerous to not be in a hospital.
I was induced at 38+2 but still had such a perfect birth! Still moved around during and still only had gas and air đ I was on the hormone drip so baby still had to be constantly monitored and right at the very end I had to compromise and allow the midwife to put the clip thing on baby's head. She needed it to monitor him because I had changed positions and the external pads had slipped and we couldn't get them to stay nice in that position but my body just NEEDED me to be in that position so it was a compromise I felt happy to make x
I had gestational diabetes and cholestasis and ended up giving birth at 37 weeks. I went into early labour and gave birth vaginally with stitches. Recovery was quite quick.
Hey! I had GD and went into labour naturally at 39 weeks. I ended up having an emergency c section but I wonât go into why as itâs a bit scary haha, wasnât GD related though
I found out today iâll be induced/ elective section at 39 weeks because i need insulin for my fasting readings. If i didnât have any issues with that then theyâd let me go up to 6 days over
I had GD and gave birth at 37 weeks 1 day. She spent a few days in the Nicu for fluid in her lungs and now sheâs perfectly fine! ďżź
I had gestational diabetes and then got pre eclampsia so gave birth at 37+2 started as an induction but ended up in an emergency c section
I was put on insulin and had my section booked for 38 weeks because of this x
I have GD was induced at 38 weeks 6 days. I attempted to go natural, but at 5-6cm, I couldn't take it anymore and got an epidural. But other than the epidural my birth plan didn't change. I still delivered vaginally and both baby and I were healthy
I had gd and was meant to be induced at 38 weeks I delayed for week as I didn't feel my body was showing any signs of readiness and his growth scan had all been fine x
I had gestational diabetes and was induced at 38+4 and had him the same day. I was on Metformin quite quickly then ended up on insulin for the last few weeks of my pregnancy. They induced me as they don't like you to be insulin dependent for too long. It was my 2nd baby and 2nd induction. I had my waters broken at 8:30am, hormone drip started at 11am, 11:30am first contraction, 3pm epidural, 7pm fully dialated, 7:15pn first push, then had him by 8:47pm. My birth plan never changed as I didn't have one other than calm voices and being able to move freely x
I was induced at 40+3 and she came the next day. Didnât make it into the pool because they didnât believe I was in active labour until my water broke so was rushed to the labour room but she was born vaginally with just gas and air!
I got admitted to the hospital to get induced on the 22nd of Jan 2024 (baby was due on the 26th) I gave birth to her at 01:30am on the 25th. I was so scared to get induced due to how many stories I heard on here about people getting emergency c sections, most stories I got told were negative (but I guess more people speak about negative experiences than positive ones) i thought I wouldnât be able to have a natural delivery but I did! My daughter came out vaginally. I had an episiotomy cut to get her out but luckily all was fine. I originally wanted a water birth but wasnât allowed due to having monitors attached to bump during my labour which was a bit rubbish as I couldnât move around much so was stuck to the bed xxx

My birth plan was to always try for a VBAC and I wanted to be induced due to childcare reasons. I got diagnosed with late onset GD at 30 weeks, needed Metformin and insulin and then was told I needed to be induced early as my fasting levels was out of control. I did however have mild Poly ( extra fluid around baby) so they induced me at 37.5. I had a successful induction and had a VBAC. X
