Dummies and tongue ties

We are almost 6 weeks old and had a very severe tongue tie snipped a week ago. Bubs absolutely loves to suck to soothe himself especially when he's tired. However due to the tongue tie, he's having to relearn how to use his tongue all over again and because of this he really struggles to keep the dummy long enough to actually calm down. His sucking function is pretty poor and we're working on it but doesn't feel like we're making much progress. We have been using mam bottles so went with the mam dummies too. We have one random nuk dummy that came from the hospital when he was briefly in SCBU. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for different dummies that might work better and help him learn how to keep it better?

We us BiBs dummies and they seem to work for my little one. He was tongue tied as well. Hope he’s doing okay after the procedure . We’ve been doing oral exercises with him as well to help his tongue function x

@Alex which ones, I've seen a few different shapes for the bibs dummies. He's doing good after being snipped, definitely noticing an improvement in feeding! We're doing the exercises though I can't say he's thrilled about it lol

Just the first size round ones which I believe are 0-6 months. I know same with my little one 😅 glad he’s doing okay after it x

We found about 7 days after tongue tie was cut he was able to take a dummy again, we almost just sacked it off and considered not reintroducing it but he had his jabs so I took one for that and he actually used it and has continued since Weirdly he took a Nuk one first (flat ish with a tip that scoops up?!) and then went back onto his old ones a few days later. Now he just used the mam or tommee tippee ones Also struggling with getting his tongue function back still but he still eventually took a dummy x
