@Incognito did you get told that in the thigh is ok to do them? I think that would be much easier than my stomach. Although my midwife told me not to move to the thigh until I get further along/near to the end of pregnancy. I was fine last pregnancy with them but it just seems so much more painful this time round and I have no idea why 🙈😢
Well my clinic was in two minds whether I’d need them, so said to me that she hopes I don’t need them because they are generally the most painful. Two days later, confirmed I need them!! Yes I’ve always done them there but maybe because I was doing others in my stomach xx
I went through 5 rounds of ivf before I got my positive so was on Inhixa & clexane throughout, and then till 12 weeks but the only thing that helped me was just putting a cold ice pack/ cold can on the area before and after to stop the stinging & bruising. My husband did my injections for me, and he was really gentle, but sometimes they did hurt randomly especially if the area was already sore. I’ve never done them in my thighs, but I did always alternate the sides of my stomach which helped. Sorry you are on them for such a long time, I hope they get easier for you xx
Same, I alternate sides and have kept them above my hips to the side of the stomach. I rub some almond oil on my skin after a showers that seems to have helped with the bruising. I do have to try about 10 different areas where to inject as my skin is becoming more painful now.
I’m going through IVF and had to have them for about 4 weeks so far. They are the most painful injection I have and I have 3 a day. Where are you doing them? I did mine in my thighs and although painful and bruised. I’ve only got old bruises now I don’t seem to have any new ones at all. Xx
