Nursery

Hello, I recently found out through a friend that the manger the nursery my child goes to has left, but the nursery has not told us. I also found out that his key worker has changed after his key worker left about 2 weeks after this happened. Do you think we should have been informed of these two things?

Yes, you should have. Even when the administrator of my daughters nursery left we were told about it and when key workers leave we are also told. Your child could of been close to this key worker and now they have put another key worker in her place which you know nothing about. Kids form a bound with staff at nursery and this helps them with thier development. If your child does have have any development issues then let the staff know that you would like to be informed when a key worker leaves so that you can explain to any other workers about your childs development.

Yes, you should have been told directly by the nursery. This concerns your child & therefore you need to be made aware of any changes. The nursery is in the wrong.

Yes. I was told as soon as my sons key worker handed in her notice, but her and the plan for his new one and how he would get to know her. Management changes are done via email.
