@CeCe Fourteen pounds?! That sounds absolutely crazy, even for full term, but at 36 weeks? Can’t believe they actually thought the measurements were right!😄 Glad you made the right decision!☺️
They are a load of rubbish! So many unnecessary inductions take place due to women being ill informed
I was measuring big and agreed to be induced at 38 weeks. They said my little boy was around 9.3 lbs, and as I was small, they suggested an induction. I ended up in hospital for 5 days and with an emergency C-section. When I have another baby, I will not be agreeing to another induction. My little boy wasn't ready to come. He came 6 days after, so he was born at 39 weeks and weighed 7.15. They measured 9.3lb at 38 🤷🏼♀️
It’s because I had Gestational diabetes and they were using it to pressure me so much! They did do a second scan that day after I walked around for about and it went down to 11 pounds. I knew then for 100% that they aren’t accurate at all! There was about 15 people in the room when I was giving birth just incase anything happened but everything was absolutely fine!
Yeh was measured to be a 9lbs baby came out 6lbs 14 😂😂
My eldest they thought was going to be huge but he wasn’t - I can’t remember exact weight but about 7.6 lbs. The rest was amniotic fluid. My youngest they also thought would be massive; they tested me for gestational diabetes because of his size. He was nearly 9 lbs a week early so would have been large if he hadn’t been induced (was induced due to his kidney not size).
My LO was estimated to be 14lbs at 36 weeks and they kept on trying to induced me. I refused and gave birth at 39 + 5 to a tiny 5lbs 1oz baby. It was soo off I’m glad I stuck to my decision
