Hi, my LO is EBF and i express for when I'm at work. I went back 3 weeks ago and so far he's having roughly 3 x 5oz bottles. Therefore I take in 3 bottles and they have a couple frozen in their freezer incase he wants extra. He also has 3 meals a day and 2 snack times. Now.... what I did find is if they warm a bottle and he didn't want it, it goes down the sink, so more is needed. but.... I'm very lucky because he very happily drinks milk straight from the fridge so if he doesn't want it, they can put it back in the fridge. As above I fed on wake up, in the carport of nursery on drop off and pick up, before bed and at the minute 1-2 feeds during the night. I found with EBF he 'snack' feeds so didn't have big drinks but since starting nursery and having bottles he's having bigger drinks
My lo will take like 240-270mls for bottle if bottle fed he's a right muncher! But like would be every 4 hours probably!
I’ve been back to work since Jan on part time. Routine is wake up 7 breast feed I go to work and pump twice at 10 and 2pm Husband or nursery gives him expressed breastmilk or formula at 10 and 2pm which are usually his nap times. About 5/6 oz each. At night, before bed 6.30pm I either give him full bottle of formula (so we get a long stretch) and I express or I breastfeed if I am too lazy to pump. On top of that he eats 3 meals a day 8am, 1ish and 5pm.
With my first baby, I went back to work when she was 9 months. From what I can remember, she'd breastfeed when she woke up and then more about an hour later, just before we left. She'd then have 2 bottles of 80-100ml of expressed milk during the day. I'd breastfeed as soon as we got home, again before bed and usually once or twice in the night. When I wasn't working, I'd feed on demand xx
