Easter

I got my nearly one year old a wooden personalised shakey egg, and did a mini ‘hunt’ for it (had her stacking cups upside down in the kitchen and was hidden under one.) Got out any books with bunnies on to read. And I had a silicone mould with Easter egg and bunny shapes that I filled with yoghurt mixed with fruit puree and froze as a special treat :)

We got some shape sorter eggs and are going to do a hunt for them so they can be played with through the year too. I’ve seen some in aldi recently

You can buy plastic eggs on Amazon that you can fill if you want, for egg hunts. When mine was that little, we didn’t fill them with anything. She loved just walking round the garden and collecting them. She played with them for months after then. And now we always have to do an Easter egg hunt (even though I never did that as a child 😂) I also get an age appropriate book/activity book (little one last year had a lift the flaps book and the big one had a sticker dolly book)

My nephew had “afternoon tea” - no tea, no cakes - with Peter Rabbit and made a bunny card with his footprint.
