Isofix?

Doesn’t look anything like isofix to me. Usually they are metal hooks under a plastic cover in the seat or buried between the back and bottom seat

there is usually a label that says isofix when the car is isofix compatible, sometimes it’s just printed on the plastic or there is a fabric label. personally i’ve never seen isofix look like that xx

Quick Google says 2004 fiesta does not come with isofix.

Those are hooks to hold the seat belt buckle up when you are folding the seats down these are 100% not isofix my husband is a Ford mechanic x

@Katie thank you!! Sorry to be a pain, does your husband know if I can get isofix hook’s installed into the car? I’ve just seen kits on Amazon and heard garages can do it! X

That’s not isofix also it wasn’t standard in the uk until 2006 or later I believe

Those "hooks" in the photos are to keep the seat belt locks in place when you need to put the seats down and up so they don't get stuck. I didn't have isofix with my first child, and it wasn't much of an issue at the time as I just used the seat belt to secure the car seat.

The kits on Amazon aren’t crash tested and I wouldn’t risk it personally. You can have Isofix retrofitted on some fords at a ford garage. My husband did it to his focus but he is a Ford mechanic and used Ford parts and guidance direct from Ford

That's not Isofix, plus there's no way you'd have it on a car that old! Why are you even buying a 20 year old Fiesta? You can get a car 10 years younger than that for a decent price, that will very likely have Isofix!

@Rebecca the judgment as to why I’m buying a 20 year old car is very unnecessary and quite rude. Some cars that are that old do have isofix actually. I know those clips themself aren’t isofix, I’ve seen some cars have buttons on the seat cushion to signal isofix is present and I wasn’t sure without viewing the car and feeling under the seat, if that was the ford’s ‘button’.

Unfortunately it wasn’t available on that age fiesta. It’s not a necessity with car seats and lots of the safest seats out there don’t need isofix.
