Night time potty training

So my little one has mastered potty training during the day, but I’m curious what’s the best way to approach night time potty training?

I think night time dryness is to do with hormones or something. Saying that, there’s some things you can try and do, but it might not work. So my little one just had chicken pox and the nappy was irritating her, so she decided to basically night time potty train. Her nappy was full before every morning. What we do now is use the potty before bed, and have 3 sheets and waterproof protectors on the bed and lots of pjs on hand. 😅 some limit liquids 1-2 hrs before bed, but we don’t as having a sip of water is how she goes back to sleep by herself in the night. She’s only had 3 accidents in 2 weeks ish. She wakes up more often crying, but all we have to do is take her to the potty then she’s back to sleep.

My son's been potty trained since January, I'm doing nothing for nighttime just waiting for him to get dry. Im not sure it's always something you necessarily can train. like said above I think it's hormonal and will come with age. My son has odd nights where he's dry, and others where he's wet. Honestly not worrying about it, they're only just turning 3 🙂

@Medina oh wow that really good only 3 accident! My girl loves her sleep so I’m a bit worried she’s not going to wake up to want to have her sheets changed

My LG has been night time potty trained since January, she was having dry nappies for about 2 weeks before we went to pants. She'd have a wee before bed, then asked if she needs a wee when she woke during the night, and then has one when she wakes in the morning. *Touch wood* she's not wet the bed once. After her first night in pants, she just refused a nappy afterwards

@Becci because she doesn’t wake us up straight away she plays in her room she ends up weeing in her nappy which is where I think I’m most likely to struggle

My little girl has been toilet trained since last July but is still having heavy wet nappies over night. She went through a stage a few months ago of waking us telling us she needs a wee but she’s stopped doing that now, I’m not overly bothered at the moment she’ll do it when she’s ready ☺️

Is she dry in the morning? I wouldn’t rush it as it’s hormonal

@Caroline I don’t know really because she doesn’t wake me up she plays in her room so when I come do changing her nappy she’s wet but only ever wet

They’ll do nighttime themselves! My little boy cracked it in two weeks but some can take two years! It’s all child dependent! If he’s cracked day time, your job is over and it’s little ones turn! Don’t stress x
