Which is better? Photos in comments

I want to buy my kids a picnic table and sandbox. Which option is better? Option 1: A picnic table with a separate sandbox Or Option 2: a transformable picnic table with 2 bins that could be water or sand bins My kids are 3.5 and 1

Don’t do sand girl. The ants and other outside insects and whatever are going to LOVE THIS too. Just my opinion.

We have that sandbox, it is TINY, will only last maybe a year. I'd get a separate picnic table and sandbox because it seems like it would be a hassle to need to clean the table off to play with the sand, but I wouldn't get that sandbox.

Im also going to be a no sand human. As a kid I got a rash from stuff in the sand. And we figured out it was some mite living in the sand. Also even with the cover we had a cat poop in it. We found out by hand as kids. We emptied it and did ooblec a few times that was awesome

It’ll be a pain to put everything away when it’s time for lunch. Assuming you actually want to use the picnic table for food. My boys have a sandbox with a lid and a water table and get way more use out of the water table. So I’d opt for a picnic table and separate water table and skip the sandbox altogether.

My kid is a sand kiddo. We personally get more use out of the sand box. In fact we just upgraded to a bigger one for her 😂 you can mix cinnamon in with the sand to deter mites, ants, spiders, etc. Also spray around the outside with vinegar/water. It requires upkeep to keep it nice but worth it if you have a sand loving kiddo like mine.

We have a sand/water table which is on legs so a good height for playing.

The option 1 looks very small. I would do a bigger wooden sandpit and the table from the option 2.

I didnt think about the insects with the sand 😩 and i had no idea this sand box is tiny. We already have a water table so im gonna think about it. I might just get a picnic table. Thanks all!

We have a sandpit and no problem with insects, just with sand in the house. 😂 Don't let negativity ruin the fun, children love it.
