You have yourself a brainiac there! Mine can do numbers to 10, the full abc, and her colours, she’s speaking sentences of 4-5 words, but no way doing sums!
We suspect little one could be on the autistic spectrum for a few reasons, one being incredibly interested in numbers.... Counts past 30, can count backwards from 15, knows 1+1 2+1 3+1 4+1 etc. But didn't know if this was 'normal' for the age, hence the poll! But it could also just be a good memory for things little one enjoys - I know some toddlers can name all their vehicles (car bus ambulance digger etc.) so maybe it's similar to that, but with numbers 🤷🏽‍♀️
It’s not common but definitely not unheard of. Both my kids have done similar at that age.
My daughter can do little sums if say I split the food up on her plate and say how many is this and then we add an extra one and say how many is that etc but not proper counting. Probably just the very basic foundations of numbers but she loves her numbers and alphabet as well she is starting to learn phonics now and enjoying that more - she would rather sit and learn then play with her toys though tbf 🤣
