My boyfriend and I took the envelope with the gender inside of it to our favorite cake shop and did a gender reveal cake. We went to our local rose garden set up a picnic and took a homemade video and a few pictures of us finding out the gender and just posting it on social media / sending it to family
We did confetti and powder poppers with my mom and siblings, posted the grey one before our ultrasound confirmation, once we got confirmation we shared the color version !
I love the idea of getting flower the color of the baby’s gender or doing a cake, keeping it sweet and simple 💕🩵
When in doubt…PINTEREST
I gave my sister and BIL this idea. Go to a restaurant or local place the OG idea I saw on Tik Tok was ice cream/milkshakes (they went to the restaurant they had their first date) and ordered one thing if it was a girl and one for a boy (example they ordered blue crab dip for a boy and a shrimp cocktail if it was a girl) and hand the envelope with the result to the server. And voilà! Enjoy! They LOVED it! Super intimate and fun to sit throughout the dinner just them to imagine another little baby to their family. Later that night we all met up at my moms and told us in person then showed us the video of them finding out!! I will be opting to do something like this if we end up together and have more. That and a nesting party instead of a sprinkle
@Beatriz that’s such a precious idea!!
We did a colour reveal scan where they revealed it and videod us and then the room went blue or pink! We got a gorgeous video and it was really intimate for us two
We did the cake gender reveal. It was also our pregnancy news announcement. We filmed it in black and white and then as soon as the cake was sliced and taken out, It turned to colour. We weren’t in the video (it was only of us both cutting it) and we told friends and family an important announcement would be posted on instagram on a certain time, so everyone tuned in to watch the video 🥰🥰🥰
@Maddie i know!! I wish I’d done that 🥹
With our second, we did a photo shoot and opened the ultrasound envelope on camera. We then shared the pictures once we got them from our photographer
