My appointments are the same they aren’t through the GP, I have them on my badger app I just have to keep checking on there to remind myself of the next one, luckily my midwife took the bloods herself so none have been lost! I can imagine that’s really annoying! (Some appointments don’t also show on badger but on the NHS app instead these tend to be the ones at the hospital though)
I’d request for the bloods to be done at the hospital instead. I’m a community midwife and getting bloods done at the go surgeries is often a total nightmare. If the bloods are done by the surgery staff rather than the midwife they often don’t send all the bloods or send irrelevant ones to pregnancy. The porters also don’t take the bloods very often so if they’re left sitting too long they can clot and don’t give a result
I have 5 kids. I’ve had my blood checked hundreds of times between them and other health issues. Never have I ever had those issues. That’s very unprofessional. Even the appointments not getting put in.
Every GP practice is independent and as such, runs their system. Midwives are part of the NHS and the NHS does not share the same system with the GPs. I am sure they both can coordinate some things, but they are different organisations.
@Megan I had my midwife take my blood test always, even the appointments I always book them with the midwife straight away. I have no idea what’s going on 😩
@Gemma omgg sameee 🤦🏻♀️ But I don’t understand as I always been with the midwifes my blood test and appointments always with them and I just don’t get it 😩
@Ceri-Ann i understand the thing is I always done everything with the midwifes I dont have the same each time is mostly different ones but they do my tests and I book with them my appointments, I just dont know whts going on 😞😩
@Siera 😩😩😩 I don’t know it’s just making me so anxious as it’s my first time and when things like that happen constantly it’s just not nice and I start overthinking about my birth.
Just go through the OB office. Easier and safer
@Elsa oh weird! Sounds more like your midwife being the problem then your gp, she should have been on top of the appointments she is making, when I have appointments I don’t even speak to the receptionist I just go in and wait and she comes to get me at my time slot, hopefully they don’t bugger up your bloods again!
@Elsa unfortunately the midwive just use the gps for a room. They’re not actually employed by the surgery. If all the mistakes are happening with the midwives then you need to speak with the hospital as this is where the midwives come from
@Megan thank you 🙏 hopefully not again 😩🤞
@Ceri-Ann thank you for the help x I will have a chat withe them 🙏
My GP apparently couldnt see midwife bookings as it’s a different system, even though theyre at the same surgery so moving/changing appointments was a nightmare for me. I also had to have repeated bloods done, as they “lost” one of my samples. Didn’t tell me, just put a next day appointment on my badger app, which means I had to take last minute leave from work. Communication isnt great, but I realised very quickly on its the midwife you need to contact.
