Anyone having to wrestle their babies hands out of their mouths?😂

She’s refluxy too so she spits up and then shoves her hands in her gob. And drools everywhere. She’s sat here laughing at my misfortune😂😩

Unfortunately an annoying part of their development 😂 soon they’ll be picking up whatever they can find and shoving it in too!

@Coadie fantastic😂

My little boy as soon as we got home from his 2nd set of jabs where he'd had the rotavirus gel and a bottle when we got home to calm down put his entire hand in his mouth and then proceeded to put his milky dribbly rotavirusy hand in my mouth 🤦‍♀️ oh to be a boy mum 😂😂

My little boy does this all day/night long! He also has reflux so loves to spit up wipe it in my hair and then does it all over again with a lovely big smile😂

@Coadie I remember those days to well, I was constantly hoovering making sure there wasn't tiny bits on the floor 🤣 it's a good job I have a cordless hoover haha

But yeah my little boy is the same and making himself gag 🤣 I've just bought some teething toys I know he's not teething but hopefully he will chew on those and not make himself gag haha

Literally just taken this video now 🤣

@Becky ahahah look at him go 😂

@Jade yep😂😂 mine also loves to yank my hair out. Jokes on her it’s all falling out anyway due to post partum hair loss😂

Hahaha I know, it gets worse when he sticks his fingers in 😂😂

I can relate 🙄🙄😂😂

My LG shoves her whole fist in her mouth and gags or throws up because of it..,

Yup🥲🥲 the reflux and spit ups then shoving it back in mess doesn’t help either 🤣

Update: she’s just been prescribed some new milk to hopefully stop the reflux. Won’t stop the hands in the mouth though😂😂

If it helps, I was in a weaning workshop last night and the lady said the hands in mouth thing is helping practicing their hand eye coordination which helps them when ready for solids

@Holley oh nice, hopefully it means she’s gonna be a pro with solids then

My little boys the same 😂 his new thing is spitting his dummy out for his hands and then crying for his dummy back on and off all day 🫠😂

@Molly yep mines doing that too😂

@Molly oh my little boy does this aaaalll the time then he gets mad at me because I've allowed this atrocity to happen 😂 I swear today though hand on my heart, he projectile spat it across the living room floor looked at it on the floor and went "oh"

Hands in the mouth is really important for their development in order to be able to move on to food eventually. Its all to do with figuring out how to move their tongues and figure out the gag reflex to prevent choking. Our HV said its important not to remove their hands so I just carry around a pack of antibac hand wipes everywhere and wipe through the day and have a million bibs at the ready 🙃

Aww I just let her do it and wipe her hands when I change her. She really gnaws away on her fist 😅. We did get a silicone teething glove thing called Infatot which she loves! Might be worth giving it a go if you’d rather her not chew her hands

Don’t worry guys, I only remove her hands when she’s spat up and I need to clean her.😊
