Surviving

SAHM running my own business working from home with a very active soon to be 2 year old. My husband works a full time job and runs his own side business on the side that is very busy. So he works almost every hour he's not sleeping. What are things you do for yourself to pull yourself out of the slump? I feel like the 20 minutes I get to see my husband, there's not much "me" left and just a zombie standing in the kitchen. He's feeling unloved, I feel like I'm drowing. Our closest support person is 2hrs away so time alone/away is rare.

Self-care things that may not sound luxurious to others but are for me. I’m getting back to running my own business after being home with my twin boys. Please feel free to message me, I need more entrepreneur mamas 🥲 What helps? The extra 5 minute in the shower. Putting my phone down for 10 minutes and refusing to answer emails until I finish a puzzle/eating. Face masks - I know I look silly to the boys but I’ll feel better after. Taking a short bath in addition to my shower. Letting myself indulge in a little treat here and there. Dressing in something other than sweats/leggings a couple days a week (even if I’m just going to the park/playgroup)

I’m an entrepreneur momma too! Would love to connect 💜 I’ve found a simple shower, shaving my legs with shaving cream and blow drying after makes me feel whole again after a long day. Otherwise, quiet when possible — no phone during down time. And nightly meditations have really helped me too

@Kelly sending you a message 🤗

I heard about the app bambino is good for childcare. You need to have regularly scheduled time for you and also regularly scheduled time with hubby. Put a timer on all the things that need to get done. If it doesn’t get finished in the time you allotted for it, finish it another day. If you don’t take care of you and allow your battery to recharge, you won’t be any good to anyone else. Self care is self love so make a little time for yourself daily, a couple days out of the week, weekly…. Whatever you can.
