My husband usually takes the day off or a half day. He's always done that with our 2.5 year old and I've never asked him to be just does. Now that we have a newborn it is the same and I'm grateful because it's really a divide and conquer. He's focused on the kids while I do the talking

If you have to bring your child with you just give them a snack and your phone with peppa pig they will be fine 😊

If I am allowed to take him I do, he’s come to all my midwife appointments so far he sits with a snack or a toy or his tablet while we are in there, I do still put him in his pushchair though so he can’t run around the office causing chaos 🤣

Jokes on me, phones don’t entertain him 😂😅😅 I’ll try snacks to distract him with.

So my husband is a second shifter & we have 1 car. We have to plan all our appointments before he has to leave for work. So if I need to go by myself, he can watch the kids at home, or if we need to take them with us or if he needs to drive me, he handles them. Like today, I had a filling and a wisdom tooth removed, so he drove me since our office suggests someone else drive after the procedure. The oldest was in school, and he watched the 2 younger kids in the waiting room while I went back for my appointment. It sucks sometimes since we need early morning appointment times to make it work. If I need to go outside of that time-frame my husband takes time off if needed or we drop him off at work before going to appointments. My 3 year old I just grab toys & snacks for him & he's usually pretty good if I do have to take him with me.

My daughter tagged along to all appointments except the hairdresser. I wouldn't expect for her to have the patience for a 2 hour plus appointment.

I try to book any appointments for the later afternoon but if I can't I just bring the kids and they usually are fine. The doctor always gives them a lollipop too which helps
