UC childcare backpay
Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone’s had a similar experience.
Last month my childcare costs were referred to a decision maker, and I’m still waiting for a response. This month I uploaded all the new invoices and proof as usual, but I’m worried that the delay from last month might affect this month’s assessment too.
Has this happened to anyone before? Did it delay your next month’s payment as well?

Same happened to me They were referred to a decision maker because i claimed childcare costs a month before i returned to work (my baby had to start a month before to settle in) and now they are saying they wont pay me because i didnt get any smp from work 😫😫

They always pay a month in arrears so they will pay last months childcare this month once you’ve declared everything for the next assessment period. If not you can always pop in or call them and ask about the progress. hope this helps
