i also baby wear mine because he tends to overwhelm himself n practically stops breathing just to cry
I don't cry it out, I don't want her to feel abandoned. Baby wear
Are you sure you are meeting all your baby’s needs if he’s crying? Babies need love and to be held, they are not robots. If you let your baby cry it out you will be damaging him.
I will baby wear or try the 4 s to calm my little girl.
Only if I'm going to like...shit myself or desperately need some food and cannot do it one handed and it'll just be a couple minutes
Yeah only time I let baby cry is if I need to eat real quick or go to bathroom. Otherwise I’m wearing baby or the house stays messy until she’s asleep, chillin or someone can help
If they are crying then you are not meeting their needs. Cry it out method has been proven to not be good over and over again. They need to feel secure and loved.
@Sam what is 4s? I just want to make sure I know
@Marissa swaddle, sway, shush and suck. Essentially, if you wrap them up, rock them, give them a pacifier (or a clean finger) to suck on, and do some loud shushing, it mimics what they sense in the womb and they tend to calm down.
Gotcha. That makes sense. I just couldn't figure it out. Lol
@Sabrina how would he be damaged?
Sometimes, I’m never far though at most the next room over.

@Sabrina okay thank you
@Erika what baby wrap do you use? This is my second baby that won’t take a pacifier just saying. My first and this baby doesn’t want their head securely tucked in the wrap but can’t support own head. That is why I decide to sit him down for a little, no longer than 8 minutes.

@Carolyn unfortunately my baby doesn’t really like the wrap and I live in a studio with a 3 year old that is never quiet and baby rarely sleeps when he’s home
i use the black momcozy wrap it has the actual carrier and a black piece that goes around for more head support
I use the boba bliss carrier
I also baby wear. Sometimes my daughter has a tough time getting to sleep but will fall asleep immediately while baby wearing. I love the Solly Wrap and Wild Bird Carrier. I also have a Baby Bjorn carrier that is great too. I also have a 3 year old that is not quiet at all and definitely a white noise machine helps when they are sleeping and swaddling for naps if not wearing them.
I use a ring sling. I currently have the Nalakai that I got off of fb marketplace for $20. My son also can’t hold up his head but doesn’t like his laying his head against me unless he’s sleeping. I just tuck the tail end under his head to give me a cushion while he turns his head If you check out “carrier connection” they have a lending library where you can rent a nice baby carrier for 2 weeks for $15-30 so you can see if you like or before you buy it. I plan on renting a back carrier so I can cook and not worry about him getting burned when he’s bigger.

Um...on purpose? No. They're so little. If anything it's while I'm in the bathroom but the whole time I am RUSHING and stressing out. I dont let my babies cry
Only quick things. Like if I have to pee, Wash my pump, get his medicine together, or put a bottle together. Sometime I need both hands for 5 seconds.
If you let baby cry for 10 minutes it won’t cause him any damage. Some babies get overstimulated and need a little time in the dark, swaddled, with white noise however I wouldn’t let my baby cry for more than 10 minutes and then I would start over with rocking and comforting! Although if they are not crying when I hold them I personally don’t do this just if nothing is calming baby down so I did this with my son at 4 month sleep regression and he would calm down very quickly
I would look into letting them “cry it out” mentally from what I was reading it’s not good for them.
I babywear mine. I don’t want mine to feel alone or scared
