We have same issues with our LO who is 4 and a half weeks old! Have you tried sitting him in your knee lean him slightly forward and use palm of hand to make a figure of 8 on his back followed by some up and down rubs and gentle pats. The figure of 8 has helped us the past day or two, not sure if it’s just a fluke but worth a try…
I'm a single mother of my first one ,17 days old little boy. I have struggled alone with the same issue and cried a lot. But then the doctor said it's okay if he didn't burp all the time, keep giving him semiticon every 3 hours. Kinda getting used to it as well. So keep it up.
By the way, I'm only breastfeeding.
Hi my baby is now 6 months old but we had this issue when he was a newborn but as the months go on I’ve got a couple tricks up my sleeve now 😅😂 so sometimes when nothing else works I will hold my baby upright and do a little bounce while he’s on my leg as I’m patting his back , another thing I have noticed is rubbing up on the upper part of the back seems to help my baby , so just pat and if it’s not working rub up a few times and continue to pat and repeat if needed . Mylicon also seemed to help the uneasiness .
With the bouncing just make sure you support by holding around the chin with the opposite hand you are using to burp
Gripe water maybe. Maybe he doesn’t need much burping but gas is building up
@Jehan Brest milk in a bottle
My newborn is the same, super uncomfortable and think she’s struggling with gas build up. We only get occasional burps from her and then she cries for ages. I’ve tried all of the different techniques but I feel walking around with her upright helps sometimes.
Are you on formula or Bf?
