Sounds like infant dyschezia. Have been dealing with it with my LO. Things have gotten better at 11 weeks although still kind of working on it!
Very normal! ☺️ they don’t teach you these things in the antenatal classes but they should!! It’s so worrying hearing them grunt and groan for the first time! My first born grew out of it by 12 weeks x
Ah thank you everyone xx
You could try exercise her legs just to help her with the bit of discomfort
Bicycle kicks etc didnt help my LO until he was older. The Frida Windys help but the more relaxed they are the easier it is for them to make that connection. Feedings, warm baths, infant massage, pacifier etc
This happened with my son. It gets better so hang in there but u can do a few things. At every diaper change OR every 3hrs, do the bicycle exercises and the push one knee up against her for gas to release. I did this atleast, 10 times a day. Warm baths as often as possible to give her comfort of being in the womb and helps gas to be pushed out. My son was pooping good but then suddenly went 14 days without pooping. But now he is regulated. Anyways u can massage the body especially the stomach to help bring down any gas or bowel movements. Hope this helps!
@Jelena thank you, I have been doing this, sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn’t but I keep doing it anyway xxx
This sounds normal to me. Babies are still learning to coordinate their muscles to poop, it’s called infant dyschezia. Nothing to worry about as it usually resolves as baby matures.
