That’s amazing thankyou so much !! I’ll definitely look into all of these !! I try and do a lot at home with him like tummy time and bouncing and taking him in the garden to point out colours and animals but my head always tells me he needs more, so thankyou so much for sharing ❤️ I really appreciate it 🫶🏻 x
@Jade you’re doing a grand job - that really is most of what they need at this stage as they learn so much about the world just by watching you! Listening to music, playing with bubbles, sensory lights, jumperoo etc. are all stimulation too ☺️ also reading books. Remembered itchen valley is free apart from the car park - they have a mud kitchen area and walks through the trees with a couple of parks too and my 9mo honestly just loves trees and the washing machine 😂
@Megan-Louise awwwww that’s so sweet !! 😂 and that’s good, I’m a first time mum so I’m sure I’m just over worrying as I do 😂 thankyou again, I really really appreciate it, I’ll definitely keep all of this in mind, and have a look around 🥰 x
Hey, honestly all they really need at this stage is lots of interaction with you! That said, we like a walk round Southampton common and I narrate what we can see and go on the swings, Furzey Gardens is a good walk and can hunt for fairy houses which my toddler nephew loved (it’s an entry fee but def worth the membership if you like it), we attend baby sensory classes which are great for stimulation (about £8 a session but we asked for them for Xmas), Victoria Country Park has a mini beach and the park is good (can put pushchair on roundabout and go on swings). Hampshire libraries all do free rhyme time sessions on different days which are interactive and great for socialising with other babies. Some libraries also do baby play for new mums too 😊 then lots of tummy time and different textures and toys at home. We learnt lots at baby sensory to do at home too!
