I have the same one, I think its great does the job, I had the model before which left bottles damp and got it swopped for uv one which has been mentioned before drys bottles entirely. I do admit the older version looked and wighed less new version it isn't the prettiest but I keep it tucked away
Cold water steriliser for my first and will again for this one
I have it and highly recommend it. I had the steam steriliser before this one but after two uses, I bought the UV mainly for the drying feature. Like Megan, I don’t like having wet pump parts or bottles. Also not a fan of air drying as I worry that they don’t stay clean or that a fly or something may land on them if the windows are open 😬
The Tommee Tippee UV was one of my best purchases. That and the prep machine are the 2 things we will definitely buy again if we have another. It’s a total game changer having lovely dry bottles and storage all in one. We used Milton tablets at the start and the bottles were stinking and you had to give them to baby wet 😩, then went to the steam steriliser which went all brown where the water goes, even with cleaning it regularly. Why do the NHS not support it? I think they try to make bottle feeding harder with their recommendations. If you store your bottles in the UV steriliser there is a setting that will blast them intermittently after the cycle. I personally find it much cleaner x
With UV sterilisers, you have to make sure the light can reach all sides of the items you’re trying to sterilise. Also, making sure everything is squeaky clean before you put them in the UV steriliser. I have the TT one and I used it more for drying than sterilising. I have the mam bottles so I microwave them. For teethers I use Milton.
We have the Tommie tippee uv steriliser and never had an issue, between babies I am changing the filter and getting a new bulb to ensure it’s working like new, as long as you don’t overfill everything is dried totally as well as sterilised, I am not a fan of when bottles etc are left damp as my brain puts damp and mould together 😅 (I know the steam sterilisers are fine though!)
