Private scans

No they can’t write anything down. Only tell you, you can’t ask them to tell the other person in the room only either, only yourself. I book my gender scans private as the nhs also won’t rebook you in for another 20 weeks scan if they can’t determine gender either. x

And window to the womb if you have one in your area is really good that’s where I’ve went with both of mine, I’ve also had a scan at someone called hey baby, if you have one of those in your area x

They wouldn’t even tell us the gender with our first born. So this time round we went straight for a private one

Had mine 2 days ago and they wrote it for me!

I use ultrasound direct as they are the most local to me but they are really good if you have one near you. At my 20 week scan with my first they really ruined the excitement of finding out the gender because they really didn’t want to tell us. So this time we went straight for a private scan and will just ask them to confirm at 20 week scan x

I let them know we’re having a gender reveal with our first and they wrote it down on a piece of paper for us.

My hospital did! They put it in a little envelope for us 🩷

I had a private gender scan at Window To The Womb for this reason, I didn’t want to find out my baby’s gender in a rushed, scan room environment, I wanted it to be more intimate and memorable for us (Somewhere I can cry in private😂) On my 20 week scan letter it says “We can’t write down the gender of your baby, but we can verbally tell you or the person accompanying you” x

My hospital wrote it down for me when I was pregnant with my first. They even had special paper printed out to put it on

How crazy that everyone has such different experiences! I fully expected them to write it down at our appointment, now I am really worried about what if they refuse, what am I going to do… definitely don’t want to have yet another private scan, I had those already. Honestly what difference does it make for them whether they write it down or just tell you? I would genuinely like to know the reason.

My hospital didn’t say but it was written in my notes that I was having a girl

Think it depends on who you get some will say no some say yes we booked private at lj pregnancy and they wrote it down and turned the screen off so we couldn't see when she was checking the gender!
