My midwife and HV always said if they’re finishing a bottle up it by an oz. You won’t over feed him x
@Pauli yeah my midwife did as well! It’s more him wanting milk every hour and a half I feel it might be to quick between feeds
He could be going through a growth spurt, out girl would have 5 oz every hour and a half when she was going through it day and night, now we’re back on 5/6oz every 3/4 hours x
@Pauli he has never gone over two hours since he was born
My health Visitor also said, they will stop when they are full! So just increase it when they start finishing bottles because it's fine if they leave some
That could just be him, every baby is different so I wouldn’t worry too much, if he was full he wouldn’t eat more
@Pauli like his bloody dad likes his food clearly 🤣
Me and you both! My little girl is like her dad and looooves milk!
@Pauli you have them in your belly for 9 months just for them to come out like their fathers
Yup! Waste of my time 😂😂😂
My baby was the same at 6 weeks , he’s now 8 weeks and on 6oz , probably about ready to up it to 7oz now. He was weighed yesterday and is measuring on the 50th centile so I wouldn’t worry. A midwife told me you can’t over feed them as they’ll just throw it up if they can’t handle it xx
I was always told to do an extra oz if they’re finishing the bottles. My son is 10 weeks and does every 3hours during the day and one 5 hour stretch at night and usually has 5oz. He probably will start to even out with higher bottles and longer stretches of sleep. Although my son was showing hunger ques and it turned out it was trapped wind because their little bodies don’t know the difference in the tummy pain but if he’s drinking it fine I’d say continue what you’re doing x
if he’s drinking 4, do 4 and make an extra ounce later if needed!
