Potty training

Is anyone else finding potty training absolutely draining or is it just because I'm also 6 months pregnant đŸ„č

My son is on it! 3rd day in pants 2/3 small dribbles in pants. My daughter won’t even look at the potty.

We're only on day 1 and majority of wees have been on the floor! He's done 2 on the potty but only because he was sat on there anyway, he didn't even know he'd been. He's also asking for his nappy to have a poo! I don't know if this is normal? How long do we give it before we know if they're ready or not? Xx

I would see how it goes tomorrow but then perhaps stop for awhile if it doesn’t improve tomorrow. Sounds like he might not be ready x

If he doesn’t know he has had a wee probably bot ready x

It is hard work. My girl decided herself she wanted to start - I couldn’t go near her with a nappy and she insisted on pants đŸ« . She had maybe 2-3 accidents for the first 2-3 days. She’s now dry pretty much all day. Pooing has taken a little bit longer to get, but I think we’ve worked out she doesn’t like to poo with an audience so I try and give her some privacy (if only she’d extend the same courtesy 😅). There’s no problem in putting them back in nappies and trying again in a few weeks/months when they’re showing more signs of being ready. Best to wait till they’re ready - for your sanity as well as theirs

Don’t give up! You’ve got this! Read the ‘oh crap’ potty book. I wanted to give up last week after day 1 and 2. But I persisted and she’s doing so well. Normally one accident a day but it’s only been a week now. Prime time to potty train is between 20-30 months xxx
