We're only on day 1 and majority of wees have been on the floor! He's done 2 on the potty but only because he was sat on there anyway, he didn't even know he'd been. He's also asking for his nappy to have a poo! I don't know if this is normal? How long do we give it before we know if they're ready or not? Xx
I would see how it goes tomorrow but then perhaps stop for awhile if it doesnât improve tomorrow. Sounds like he might not be ready x
If he doesnât know he has had a wee probably bot ready x
It is hard work. My girl decided herself she wanted to start - I couldnât go near her with a nappy and she insisted on pants đ« . She had maybe 2-3 accidents for the first 2-3 days. Sheâs now dry pretty much all day. Pooing has taken a little bit longer to get, but I think weâve worked out she doesnât like to poo with an audience so I try and give her some privacy (if only sheâd extend the same courtesy đ ). Thereâs no problem in putting them back in nappies and trying again in a few weeks/months when theyâre showing more signs of being ready. Best to wait till theyâre ready - for your sanity as well as theirs
Donât give up! Youâve got this! Read the âoh crapâ potty book. I wanted to give up last week after day 1 and 2. But I persisted and sheâs doing so well. Normally one accident a day but itâs only been a week now. Prime time to potty train is between 20-30 months xxx
