@Steffi oh really Cld this mean there is something worrying they won’t tell me so worried x
No please don't worry! I'm sorry if I've made you fret! Technicians literally can't tell you anything. They're only there to take the scan. I know this because I work in health care. She shouldn't have said you may have it at all
@Steffi ah thank you! 🤗❤️x
Steffi is right they take the scan and you discuss results with your doctor
I have PCOS and it took me a very long time to get diagnosed.. as I was told it was endometriosis causing me my issues I have been struggling with my periods and pain since 2015 and was officially diagnosed in 2024 however apparently it’s been on my medical records for a long time but no one ever told me until one nurse in 2021 when I had a scan in 2021 the technician off the record said to me if I wanted to have children to start now because my ovaries and polycystic and I have PCOS . I really appreciated that as we did start trying then.. and we still are trying. getting pregnant hasn’t been the hard bit for us it’s the keeping the pregnancy which is the issue but unsure if that is PCOS related. Although it took 18 months to start with For a diagnosis you need to meet 3 of the criteria, one is the scan showing PCOS, another could be irregular periods, excessive hair, painful/heavy periods, acne, weight gain and difficulty losing weight or elevated testosterone in your
Blood test. But with a diagnosis you have more support and they can offer you help. Although it’s not ideal to have something, being diagnosed can only be a good thing because now you know and you can’t change your habits to help! About 5 months ago I started a PCOS/ anti inflammatory diet and I have honestly not felt better! Also resistance training/ weights are really great for women with PCOS rather than impact sport/running Try not to worry, there are variations of severity with pcos and everyone’s body is so different
Thank you everyone ❤️ I’m not sure I have pcos, I struggle to gain weight, I have bleeding inbetween periods, pelvis aches & cramps daily and fatigue. On my ultrasound showed multiple “folicles”
The technicians can't diagnose you so was probably just making an excuse (don't mean that in a bad way). After I had my scan, I got a call from my GP within the week with my diagnosis, so hopefully won't be long before you get yours!
