Traveling with a 2 year old

Hey mamas, I am wanting to start planning a birthday getaway for you daughters second birthday, which is in December. Wanting to travel, yes her first birthday was a blast, it turned out very expensive. I would like to make memories in different ways. Rather than finding ways to entertain guests. As I am up north, it would always have to be inside. As the weather would be cold looking to travel to disney, possibly, as I really don't know, other places to take a toddler.Looking for suggestions on whether disney is a good place, or if there is other places that you have taking your toddler and they have enjoyed themselves. Also looking for any traveling tips and tricks to make it smooth and easy as it would more than likely be her first plane ride. What does that look like with car? Seat travel was thinking of traveling with a car seat. Because I would possibly rent a vehicle, and then also need a car seat for that. Open to any and all suggestions. Please help a first time single mama out!! TIA!

First time single mom here too. I took my daughter to Cayman Islands for 4 days in February. She was 13-14 months. I was thinking of going back there again or another island for her 2nd birthday in December. I had a collapsible stroller which came as a carry on with me. Was super helpful because then I was able to put her in the stroller right off the plane without waiting. Also got the Cosco Scenera car seat for her. Bought that on the plane too with us. Worked out great - had her rear facing on the plane in her seat. She was able to sleep most of the flight. Then I had rented a car and was able to use the car seat then too and it was able to stay in the car instead of having to take it in and out of a taxi. We did stay at the resort majority of the time. But the car was great for flexibility to get to the supermarket to buy milk and such.
