Do you ever feel this way?

Has anyone came across old friends from university on social media and feel really behind in life? They seemed so successful in life , they have more children, making more money, having a lux life style, and always seem so happy. I know I shouldn’t compare at all. I don’t usually. But for a second when I saw their profiles I had a bit of sense of disappointment in my own career and life. I’m behind in my career due to a wrong choice of leaving a really good field. My baby is only 1. We aren’t having more children due to infertility issue. I want more children but I couldn’t , I’m nearly 40 it would be too heartbreaking to try another round of IV due to previous experience. I’m incredibly thankful and grateful that we have our miracle baby girl.

I think it’s incredibly common for SM to make us feel like this! I had to come off social media when going through fertility issues & I’ve never gone back on, best thing I did!

Remember - we only share what we want people to see online.

We really need to cherish what we have! You're absolutely not behind!!! You have gone through a very tough process and gave life to your precious baby girl!!! I like to think that 40, is a new beginning! Kids grow so fast and you will most definitely find yourself a job, that you will love. Everything comes at the right time. Like Charleigh said, we can only see the "happy" life. You're enough x

Compassion is the thief of joy. You still have time to develop your career.

The problem with social media is that it is not real. It’s what other people want you to see. No point in looking at it. Congrats on your baby girl. There are many out there who would be very envious of your good fortune so enjoy your miraculous blessing

@Jay I think the saying is comparison not compassion
