Sterilising help

Im using Milton sterilising tablets but confused as to how it works. Milton says you can use it straight out of the solution but what if I don’t want to? Do things instantly become not sterile once it’s out of the solution? How does this work? Also, if using dummies, how do you sterilise them? Do I need to put it back in the sterilising solution every time it comes out of baby’s mouth?

Things will stay sterile for 24 hours, any longer than that and they will need to be sterilised again. Regarding dummies, we definitely don’t sterilise them after they’re out of the babies mouth, if we were to do that we’d be sterilising them every minute or so with the amount she spits them out 😂 we have around 4 that we swap out every so often, maybe twice a day? Or if they’ve fallen on the floor obviously!

Just leave it in there until you want to use it or get a drying rack to put things on when you take them out, everything stays sterile for 24hrs after it's removed from the solution. I just sterilise the dummies once a day and swap them out if they've touched the floor, unwashed hands etc. X

@Katie thank you! I was thinking they must be sterile longer than the few minutes it takes to get them out of the solution but i was struggling to see anywhere that said how long for!!

@Izzy thank you!!
