Potty training - clueless!

I have no idea where to start with potty training. Don’t know why, I’m so nervous about it. Anyone else in same boat and don’t have a clue where to start? Nursery said wait until she is 2 and gets moved up a class and they will help. Should I try doing anything at home before hand? X

I have started popping my little girl onto the potty when I'm doing nappy changes, in the last 2 days she's had 2 poops and 2 wees on the potty. She's still using her nappy as normal in-between but I'm hoping gentle encouragement will get her there sooner or later. She is at the childminders during the week and they're not doing anything specific with her, I'm just doing a very soft launch on my own, not putting pressure on! X

If she isn’t able to say she is or has gone see or poo then it’s highly unlikely she is ready. However put knickers over the nappy and talk about them and going toilet. You can offer the potty each nappy change and let her sit there for a bit. Until she seems more aware and interested then don’t push it.

Thank you! Been saying ‘done poo’ for quite some time. Never mentions wee though. I’ll go for a soft approach. Xxx
