A trick for you. When you give him the Calpol via spoon/syringe, give a quick blow into his nose (like how you might do for a friend if they had something in their eye). He will literally have to swallow. Quick and painless 👍🏾
@Chandra second this! This worked great for us around that age
@Chandra would this work with a baby that doesn’t take a dummy or bottle?
Okay so theres two ways ive done for both my boys. One was putting it in the bottle . The second being putting the syringe to the side of the cheek and it just trickles down to their throat without choking x
My baby is the same. I was told to use the syringe and squeeze small amounts into my baby’s inner cheek rather than directly into the centre of the mouth. Theyre less likely to spit it back up. It really helped us and she swallowed it
@Chandra Thank you! I’ll have to get one for her 16 week jabs
Following as we’ve got our 16 weeks jabs in a few weeks and we really struggled with the 8 week ones. I’m not sure whether she hated it or just struggled because she’s exclusively breastfed 😅 but she spat so much of it out
