Watery explosion!

A couple of times now my 13 day old little girl has had the odd explosion in her nappy (aiming it at me when I've come to change her) It's almost watery ... being a FTM i panic over every little symptom. My partner says she's a happy, healthy baby .... she feeds well... but these explosions do worry me. She's on formula (cow and gate) and seems ok on it but I've nothing to compare it to. She's quite gassy - she will wind ok after feeding and she trumps a bit.... I just panic over every little noise

My 4 week old has the same.

These explosions are normal, it’s coz their body is still getting used to the milk & her winding or burping is a good sign. You’d rather she have explosions than be constipated which my daughter was a few weeks ago & it was really sad. If you’re worried the milk is making her gassy or making her uncomfortable like she’s grunting a lot then maybe change to the comfort version or reflux version or just change completely to a different formula but stick to it for a few weeks before deciding on how it is for her x

@Tasnim that's so helpful, thank you for calming and anxious momma!! X

My health visitor recommend switching to cow and gate comfort as she’s showing signs of cmpa because of the way she was moving about and the noises. Her nappies were also watery and only every couple of days. We’ve just switched and giving it a go x
