@Leila same here. My baby boy is alhmost 8 weeks and we have it about 1 month, because every night struggling to pass gas and we been 2 times to Gp and told same,as long if its soft and can go inside, its not problem and must go away on its own ..Im concerned sometimes and i feel pity for him,but not too much can do..
My daughter has an umbilical hernia which goes away on its own, my brother had a inguinal hernia when he was 1.5 years old and had to have surgery to fix it
@Aleena what is the difference bettween umbilical hernia and inguinal hernia? What is inguinal hernia, how does it look like?
Not sure if it will help with hernias. But our health visitor advised placing a wipe over a knuckle and gently doing circular motions on the baby’s Anus to stimulate poo when constipated due to reflux meds. It worked really well. Thought I’d share incase it helps your little one poo easier
@Julija An umbilical hernia is a soft bulge at the baby’s belly button, common and usually harmless, often closing on its own by age 1–2. An inguinal hernia is a bulge in the groin area (near the thigh or into the scrotum/labia) and usually needs surgery because it won’t go away by itself and can sometimes get stuck.
Hi, my little boy also has a hernia. He’s always straining to pass gas and poo but not sure if it’s related. We’ve seen different paediatricians, GP, osteopaths and they all assured us that this was normal and that he was fine, and that the hernia should disappear on its own before he’s 3
