Hiking with kids

Hey everyone, i was super outdoorsy before being a mom and now im a homebody. I have 5 kiddos, my 2 year old is a runner. I took them for a hike last summer which they loved and it was getting scary at the end, trying to keep my toddler from running away and not leave any other kids behind. I have a baby as well. What are the best ways to make outdoor adventures realistic and fun? Any devices, tips, supplies?

You try a wagon?

Honestly this is probably why my grandmother did not take me on big outdoor hikes (she raised me) until I was 6 years old. 😅 But seriously I also love going on hikes, so I am following this post to see if anyone else has any good tips.

@Isabella Thats something im thinking of getting. I only have a one seater jogger stroller and a baby carrier.

@Ruth I would give a wagon a shot. They have some built for different terrain so should be good for hiking and can fit all of them except for the baby. I remember loving getting pulled in the wagon as a kid

@Isabella thanks, ill add that to my list of stuff to get for this summer!
