SEN child starting school in September
Seeing all these “how to prepare your child for school in September” etc etc makes me feel rubbish… my boy don’t do half of those things yet and still in nappy 😕 (my 2 year old girl is fully day/night trained took us a week… so I’m not being lazy with potty training he just don’t get it yet) any tips from mums with sen kids ??

@Neelum It’s the worst feeling right ! I was anxious about him starting preschool but luckily he has the most amazing key person that understands him and the way he communicates. Yes ! He just got accepted for an EHCP I hope whoever is paired with him has a good heart and does their all to help him reach his targets Does your little boy have an EHCP in place ? x
that’s amazing to hear and I’m really happy for you. My son hasn’t had the best experience at pre school and we don’t have an EHCP yet (haven’t applied yet) are you able to message me please x

In the same boat, feel quite anxious, my son is also not potty trained and also struggles to self feed. I think I am really hoping they are able to accommodate and support his needs. Do you have an EHCP in place? X
