Anyone else struggle WFH??

My job has become 100% remote 2 months ago and I'm struggling with feeling a bit lonely now. I've wanted the house to myself for soooo long (I have a 20 month old) and now he's in daycare and my partner is in the office the days I work so it's just me! Any tips?

I work from home and I love it! My partner works from home too though so it’s not like I’m home alone. With that being said, when I’m working at the weekend and he takes the kids out I LOVE having a free house as it’s rare I get to work with it like that 😂 are you not able to travel to the office now and then if you wanted to? X

@Kaitlyn yeah the office is still open and close by it's just me team have gone remote so I will know people but my team won't be there

I have been fully remote for 6 years and now both my kids are in school. It definitely has its lonely days. I go to the office like once in a while. My team isn’t there but still nice to talk to others

My job went fully remote in 2020 when covid hit, and I hated it. I missed the social side and just never felt that work/home life balance. I’ll admit it was nice some days, but this is all pre motherhood. I made a decision to not go back after my mat leave and a big part of it was I couldn’t imagine feeling even more lonely and being spoken to by customers in the manner they would. I’d say if the office is still open then ask if you are able to still come and work some days . Even if you team isn’t there, contact with others (on break or in between calls) could be helpful x

I have an opportunity to make you feel less lonely. Send me a message!

@Kaitlyn Do you and your partner work in the same room or around one another? Just curious 😂 We work in diff rooms and I still find it so lonely!

@Sarina oh god no never! I’m on the phones a lot and I’d feel awkward working with him sat there 😂 plus we only have one desk in the bedroom and then the other one will work downstairs in the conservatory or something x
